Butternut squash ready for planting

We’ve been very busy tidying up the plots ready for May inspections, getting beds ready for planting, making compost to improve the soil and watering everything as it’s been so dry.

City Leaders Success!!

City Leaders Funding Success!

Our fabulous and dynamic Youth Management Team have once again successfully won a bid for funding for their community project idea! The YMT have been working on a homeless kit bag project (providing essential items for people that are homeless all in one handy bag!), as part of the London Youth City Leaders Programme. This programme enables young people to sit in the driving seat of decision making and gives them the budget to help make their ideas a reality.

On Wednesday, 5th April the young people to part in a funding pitch event at the glamorous Cinven head office board room in St Pauls. The group did a fantastic presentation which saw them walk away with the full £600 funding toward their homeless kit bag project idea.

In addition to the groups success 2 members of the team have been selected to be a part of the Futures Programme which gives them the opportunity to take part in a three month leadership programme tailored to their needs and designed to help them learn about power and influence in London, understand themselves and how to work with others better and develop project planning skills through running their own self-led projects.
