Rathbone currently has a number of volunteer roles available and we are looking for enthusiastic, local people who are keen to support us in the delivery of our work: 


We need Trustees!

Our Trustees wish to strengthen and diversify our current board, and welcome interest from would-be trustees from diverse backgrounds, ages and cultures. We are looking for people who want to make a positive difference within their community, who can bring different ideas and strengths to help us in our work.

We are seeking a Treasurer,Board Secretary and Trustees

We are looking for people with:

  • Lived experience of delivering or receiving youth work or adult social care
  • Lived experience of being a family member/carer of someone with autism or a learning disability
  • People with charity finance experience/qualifications
  • People with charity fundraising experience/qualifications
  • People with charity legal experience/qualifications
  • People with strategy and project management skills/experience/qualifications
  • People with administration/secretarial skills/experience/qualifications

A Quality Assurance Volunteer – We are looking for someone with good communication and organisation skills, and an empathic approach, to support the Adult Social Care team with the monitoring of the quality of our services and with service user and customer satisfaction. An Admin Volunteer – We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about admin to help us with our digital transformation project.  If you are skilled with computers, typing and data entry, please take a look at the role description.

Youth Work Volunteers – are needed by the youth-work team to help deliver fun packed activities and workshops for young people aged 11-19 in West Norwood and Gypsy Hill areas. Travel expenses will be covered.  DBS Required (we will process this for all volunteers).

Learning Mentors – Rathbone’s Inspiring Learning Project works with disadvantaged young people who are struggling at school and need extra support with their learning. We are seeking volunteers who can commit an hour a week for at least six months to help a student between Y7 and Y11 with their homework and/or revision in one subject, for example, English (many students come from households where English is not the first language), Maths, History or Science.  Study support sessions can be online or in person, with a parent or guardian on-site with the child, usually outside school hours.
