Rathbone’s Gardening Group has been in hibernation since the start of the pandemic in early 2020. Our lonely allotment has fallen into neglect and this week we finally got back onsite ready to begin the task of restoring it back to health.
We dug and weeded the area under the poly-tunnel frame, planted broccoli and tomatoes, harvested broad beans and cleared the bed, earthed-up our spuds and fed them, and sowed some beans.
The group will be meeting weekly from now on. We have some spaces for new members, if you, or someone you know are interested, contact Sandra on s.long@rathbonesociety.org.uk
