Person Specification:
To work directly with mainstream young people and those with learning disabilities and Autism in the planning and delivery of a programme that will challenge, stimulate and provide new learning opportunities in line with the project/contract specifications.
Main Duties and Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Work with young people and those with learning disabilities and Autism
- Ensure that all work undertaken is participative and actively challenges oppression and discrimination.
- To work as part of a team in the development of youth work within a project, working directly with young people as directed by the project manager or youth service manager.
- To make and sustain relationships with young people individually and in groups.
- To work evenings and weekends as negotiated.
- To ensure maximum access to youth work provision for all young people.
- To deliver innovative approaches to youth work that enable and encourage young people to participate at all levels.
- Staff Team
- To work as a member of the team, sharing ideas and maintaining regular communication with other team members.
- To undergo negotiated youth work training.
- To attend required levels of supervision.
- To assist in project monitoring and the use of the IYSS programme.
- To attend and actively contribute to regular project staff meetings.
- Administration / Finance
- To assist in monitoring, planning, reporting and evaluation of youth work sessions/meetings as required.
- To ensure that all Rathbone financial procedures are adhered to.
