Meet Our Team
Andrew Preston
Chief Executive Officer
I have worked at Rathbone since 1996. In that time, I have overseen many changes and developments and watched us grow from 10 to 70 staff. I am passionate about people being treated fairly and delivering good, safe, trustworthy services. My vision for the future of Rathbone is to ensure our sustainability and resilience so that we can meet the growing demand for complex-needs social care and effective youth work.
Charline King MBE
Youth Service Manager
I have worked at Rathbone since 2012. During this time I have overseen the establishment of our thriving integrated youth service, created to facilitate inclusive open-access provision for both mainstream young people and young people with learning disabilities aged 11–25. I am passionate about enabling young people to make informed choices so they can reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives.
Vanessa Leoncelli
Drop-In Service Team Manager
With extensive experience supporting individuals with physical and neurological disabilities, providing floating support, and addressing substance misuse issues, I joined Rathbone in 2014 as a support worker in the Outreach Team.
Currently, I serve as the Team Manager of Rathbone’s Connect Service, an innovative programme that provides tailored support, meals and opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities to connect with others, helping to reduce the social isolation often faced by this group.
Jamie Sawyer
Head of Adult Support Service
I have worked at Rathbone since 2007; for 10 of those years, I was the services’ Registered Manager. In recent years, I have been responsible for developing and implementing new service delivery models to cater to a changing demographic of needs. I have supported people with autism for many years, both prior to and during my time at Rathbone, and I am particularly interested in ensuring people are supported to live inclusive and meaningful lives as part of our community.
Susanne Buerger
Outreach Service, Team Manager
I have been working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs since 2001. My career began as a support worker, caring for a diverse range of people, often with complex needs. I enjoy working in teams and strongly believe in treating others how I would like to be treated. The greatest joy I get from our profession is contributing to consistent person-centred care and watching someone make progress and achieve their goals, no matter how big or small.
Nimisha Naik
Finance Manager
I joined Rathbone Society as Finance Manager in 2021. My role is to oversee the Finance department and ensure we support staff with financial management, planning and budgeting. I was motivated to join Rathbone because I am passionate about helping the charity alleviate social isolation for adults and young people. Working with the older generation in my last employment inspired me to continue working with charities to help change people’s lives for the better.
Jo Piskorz
Charity Administration Manager
I joined Rathbone in early 2022 as Charity Administration Manager. I oversee HR administration, provide governance support to the Board, and coordinate core business functions so our services run smoothly.
Drawing on many years in similar roles, I focus on building organisational resilience, improving processes, and making it easier for colleagues to do their best work. I am committed to celebrating diversity in all its forms and to fostering an inclusive culture through visible role modelling. Everyone should feel a genuine sense of belonging and purpose. I am proud to be part of Rathbone and to contribute to a team that puts people and quality at the heart of what we do.
Georgia Harvey
Registered Service Manager
I have worked at Rathbone since 2011, beginning my career within the youth service and moving into outreach support work and then the Service Manager role. I still do regular youth work and am passionate about supporting young people at our integrated youth service to decrease social isolation and destigmatise learning disabilities and autism, to create a culture of acceptance and inclusion. Much of my day-to-day work focuses on outreach service delivery, ensuring that both the people we support and frontline workers are supported effectively to achieve and develop.
Liz Zilli
Supported Living, Team Manager
I have worked for Rathbone since May 2009, initially as a support worker in the community. In 2011, I became the Supported Living Team Manager, overseeing a team of 6–8 support workers and supporting six vulnerable people, some of whom had autism, multiple conditions and complex needs. I have been a Team Manager since 2019 and have taken on additional managerial responsibilities. I am passionate about protecting and promoting the rights and inclusion of all individuals in community life.

I’m passionate about supporting individuals with special needs, helping to foster independence and enhance quality of life wherever possible.
