Practical support and opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and young people across Lambeth.

Who We Are

A local charity with a huge purpose

We believe that everyone deserves the chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. Based in Lambeth, we provide practical support, safe spaces, and opportunities that give people the confidence and tools to shape their own lives.

What We Do

Support that Builds Independence

We provide person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities across Lambeth—helping people live more independently, make choices, and feel connected. Our services include supported living, outreach and community activities that build everyday skills, confidence and wellbeing.

For young people, we provide safe and supportive spaces to learn, belong, and grow. Through youth clubs, mentoring, learning programmes and outreach, we help young people build confidence, develop skills and shape positive futures.

Accountability & Standards

Trusted and accountable

As a registered charity and CQC-regulated provider, we hold ourselves to the highest standards. We are proud to be a London Living Wage employer, and to work transparently with our funders, partners and the local community.

Our Impact

Making a real difference

Every year, Rathbone supports hundreds of people across Lambeth. Adults with learning disabilities gain independence and community connection. Young people develop confidence, skills and positive futures. Volunteers and local partners amplify our reach, ensuring we can do more together than alone.

Our Heritage

Inspired by Elfrida Rathbone

Our charity is named after Elfrida Rathbone, a pioneering reformer who championed the rights of people with learning disabilities to be included and valued in society. Her vision of dignity, opportunity and inclusion still guides our work today.
