Overview

One-to-one support that develops confidence, wellbeing and life skills

Mentoring gives young people a consistent, trusted adult to talk to — someone who listens, encourages and helps them find their way through challenges. It complements Rathbone’s wider youth programme by offering more personal, focused support where it’s needed.

Whether a young person is struggling with confidence, dealing with change, or simply needs someone reliable in their corner, mentoring provides space to reflect, be heard and grow.

How Mentoring Helps

Mentoring can support young people with things like:

  • building self-confidence

  • developing decision-making skills

  • talking through personal challenges

  • setting and working towards goals

  • strengthening emotional well-being

  • improving communication skills

  • increasing engagement in positive activities

  • feeling more connected and supported
