Working Safely

Here at Rathbone our colleagues have been doing a fantastic job during the Covid 19 outbreak.  They have been working long hours, lots of overtime and working in situations with a high risk to themselves.  We have been working closely with Lambeth Council who have been hugely supportive with the provision of PPE.

However, now that guidance is changing and it is recommended that we all wear Face Coverings in certain situations outside of health & social care settings, there has been a huge scramble to source decent Face Coverings.  We have been extremely fortunate to have discovered Michelle Wells who has been working tirelessly to make some fantastic quality face coverings for keyworkers and front-line health & social care workers.

Michelle has been providing these for free!  In our opinion, Michelle is one of the ‘hidden heroes’ of the public response to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Jamie Sawyer, Head of Adult Services (right) said: “A big thank you to Michelle for these really well-made face coverings, the colleagues I have issued them to have all been really appreciative and glad that we have been able to offer these to them. Now that wearing them on public transport etc, is becoming a requirement in a few days, we are really grateful we were able to access such great support from Michelle.”

These stylish face coverings are available to buy from Michelle:
