What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They are commonly used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, or measure how a site is used. Some are essential to how a site works; most are not.

What this website uses

Very little. If you are simply browsing the site, one cookie is stored on your device:

  • cookieyes-consent: set by our consent tool to record the choices you make in the cookie banner, so you are not asked again on every page. It stores a reference number and a yes/no for each category. It does not identify you and is not shared with anyone.

That is the whole list for ordinary visitors. Every optional category is set to “no” until you choose otherwise.

Analytics without cookies

We do want to know which pages people find useful, so we measure visits, but we do it without cookies. Our analytics run on our own server, store no file on your device, and do not follow you to other websites. There is no Google Analytics on this site.

If you have an account

Staff and volunteers who sign in to manage the website receive additional cookies from WordPress to keep them logged in securely. These are never set for ordinary visitors.

No third parties

Everything this site loads, including its typefaces, comes from our own server. Reading these pages does not make your browser contact Google, a font service, an advertising network, or anyone else. We do not embed advertising, social media trackers, or video players anywhere on this site.

What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising cookies.
  • We do not build profiles of visitors, or track you across other websites.
  • We do not sell or share visitor data.

Managing your choices

You can change your cookie choices at any time using the consent preferences button on this site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser allows this, usually under Privacy or Security. Blocking cookies will not stop you using this website.
