For parents and carers
What you need to know
Central Hill Youth Club provides supervised, open-access youth work in a local, familiar setting. All staff are DBS checked and follow Rathbone’s safeguarding, equality and behaviour policies. Sessions include structured activities, food, and opportunities for informal support and conversation. Staff work closely with local partners and housing providers to respond to issues on the estate, including safety and wellbeing. Parents and carers are encouraged to speak with staff about their child’s needs, attendance and any concerns, and can be updated about significant incidents or changes.
How to sign up
Young people can drop in during opening times, come along with friends or be encouraged to attend by outreach youth workers on the estate. At their first visit, staff will complete a short registration and consent process and explain how the club works. Parents, carers and professionals can contact the Youth Team if they want to discuss whether the club is suitable or to share any additional information about a young person’s needs.
For young people
What you can expect
Central Hill Youth Club is your space on the estate. You can come to play sport, cook, game, make art, or just sit and talk. Youth workers will listen to you, treat you with respect and support you to stay safe and make good choices. You can tell staff what activities you want, and help shape what happens at the club. If you have worries about school, home, friends or money, you can talk to a youth worker in private and they can help you find support.
