- The Old Library is generally available to hire during weekdays, evenings and weekends when it is not in use for youth clubs or community activities.
Bookings are arranged on a case-by-case basis, so availability will depend on existing sessions, staffing and set-up/clear-down time.

Access & accessibility
The Old Library is a community building and we aim to make it as accessible as possible for disabled people and those with mobility needs. There is level access from street level and step-free access to the main ground-floor spaces. Accessible toilets are available.
Some upper-floor office spaces may only be reachable by stairs, so anyone with specific access needs is encouraged to contact us in advance so we can discuss the best room and set-up for their booking.

Transport & travel
The Old Library is in central West Norwood, a short walk from West Norwood railway station, which has frequent trains to London Victoria and London Bridge. Several bus routes serve Knights Hill and the surrounding area, making it easy to reach from Brixton, Tulse Hill and neighbouring parts of Lambeth. Limited on-street parking is available nearby, and there are bicycle parking options close to the building.
Book The Old Library
Three spaces are available to hire. The Hall takes up to 60, or up to 120 for a larger event, with chairs and tables included. The Lounge is a cosy children's playroom with a large TV. The Recording Studio is a professional space with recording and production equipment. Rates on request. Get in touch to talk through your event or to view a space.
